3 legged buffalo

I have been trying to get some idea, of what a 3 legged buffalo, inherited from my father, is worth and can't seem to find anyone that will even guess.... it's in fair shape, you can see part of the horn and most of the tail.... any help?

Your Nickel depends on the year it was issued. According to most books that I own, there's only a record for 1937D Nickels, so if yours is different please tell me.
If however you own the 1937D Nickel, here's the values:
Good condition: $550
Very Good: $650
Fine: $850
Very Fine: $1,200
Extra Fine: 1,300
Almost Uncirculated: $1,500
Mint Condition - 60: $2,750
Mint Condition - 63: $5, 750
Once again, Please tell me if it's a different year.
