Hello - Barb from San Diego
Hello Everyone!
I wanted to know a little something about an old silver coin bracelet that I have that once belonged to my mother when she was a young girl. I'm trying to upload an image of bracelet but something is not working correctly. Would someone please tell me how to upload a jpg?
I am not sure there is any value since each coin is attached to charm bracelet with a little silver ring soddered at the top of each coin but figured it was worth asking, especially since bracelet has very many old coins. Many are Canadian and French dimes but there are a few US dimes that are very worn but I can read the dates of 1837 on one and 1874 or 1871 on another, an on another 1867. All coins on bracelet are silver except one.
Funny story...I have had this bracelet in a baggie in a box along with some silver quarters ever since my mom passed away January 2010. Strangely, or miraculously maybe, when I woke up this morning this bracelet and silver quarters still in the baggie was sitting on the floor on the side of my bed!! How it got there I have absolutely NO IDEA! It certainly wasn't one of my three dogs who laid it there, nor was it me so still quite a mystery.
Anyway, looking down on me from heaven and knowing what dire straits I am in at the moment, I can't help but think maybe my Mom is trying to tell me GO GET THIS SILVER COIN BRACELET APPRAISED, and she is the one who laid it at the side of my bed before I awoke this morning. Wishful thinking most likely, but hey I'll take a miracle any 'ol time and could especially use one right now!
Some dates on the other coins are:
1908 five cent
1918 Canadian 5 cent
1884 Canadian 5 cent
1931 Italian coin maybe
1816 Republic of Cuba
1912 French - 50 Centimes
1918 French 50 Centimes
1858 US one cent (thick like a nickle but smaller in diameter)
1859 US one cent (thick like a nickle but smaller in diameter)
1818 - with hole in center of coin, coin says Libertale Egalite Fraternite might be 10 cents? Looks like someone engraved JJ and a D on back side. Front side has an R and an F on either side of hole in center.
1895 Queen Victoria Dime (I am assuming)
1920 Canadian 10 Cent
1934 Italian(?) curly edged coin that says on front "George IVS REX Imperator and back side says: CYPRVS Half Plastre
1906 - says EdwardsVS VII D:C: Bromomn (?) REX F.D. IND ... (think it's a dime)
1919 - says: 25 ORE on back, and SVERIGE on front (looks like Asian coin)
1871 - GOLD coin women on front with a 'G' under neck and back says: 1/4 Dollar (with CAL under Dollar?) - think this is fake as it is only 3/4 inch round and has hole in top to connect to bracelet.
And then there is one coin with writing in Arabic or some language I don't recognize - date looks like 1919. It too is thick like the 1858 and 1859 one cent coins.
When responding, keep in mind I am very sensitive right now, so be gentle when telling me it's of little value....I need a miracle!

Hi Barb,
Your PM to me is correct, you can upload it on another website or upload it by clicking the Image with a floppy disk on it.
It'd be best if you posted what you need valuing in the appraisal section!
